Trokar

The Trokar are a unique and enigmatic race, distinguished by their ashen skin, dark hair often tied back, and the extraordinary ability to teleport short distances. Their acidic blood is both a mark of their resilience and a deadly weapon. Preferring roles that emphasize mobility and combat prowess, Trokar excel as monks, fighters, and other spiritually or physically agile warriors.

Physically, Trokars possess a lean, athletic build, honed through constant movement and rigorous training. Their teleportation ability makes them elusive foes, capable of striking swiftly and vanishing before their enemies can retaliate. This power, combined with their acidic blood, makes them formidable in battle. However, Trokar live under the constant threat of being hunted, as it is believed that possessing a Trokar's soul grants immense power. This has led many Trokar to adopt nomadic lifestyles, becoming mercenaries or commanders in armies, where their skills are highly valued. Despite the dangers they face, Trokar remain steadfast and resourceful, embodying a fierce spirit of survival and defiance.

Default Traits

(-1) Hunted: You are often hunted and easily recognized. The DC to recognize you while in disguise, or to detect you with mundane means is reduced by 2.

(3) Flash Step [Potent]: When you spend 1 AP to Stride, you may teleport to your destination instead. For each additional AP you spend, you may increase the distance as if you did another Stride action. You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to your Core Levels.

(2) Loyal to a Fault: You gain ADV on any mental effect that tries to pit you against an ally. This does not stop an effect like a Charm Person, unless such an effect causes you to go against your companions - in which case you would get a new saving throw.

(1) Trokar Resolve: If an ally falls unconscious or reaches Death’s Door, you gain +1 to attack and a number of temporary HP equal to your RES.

(0) Volatile Blood: Your blood is corrosive when exposed to air, damaging anyone nearby you when you take a wound. If you receive slashing or piercing damage, your blood splashes anyone within 1 square for 2 points of corrosion damage.

(1) Steady Legs: You are not hindered from displacement sickness.

(2) Tough Skin: Your skin is tougher than most. You gain 2 PDR.

(1) Trained by Monks: You gain mastery in unarmored defense.

(1) Corrosive Resistance: Your volatile blood helps breakdown acid before it damages you. You gain Corrosion Resistance 5.
